Stomach Cancer: It is not incurable; it can be completely cured in the early stages
Dr. Abdul Rahman
Stomach cancer is also called gastric cancer. It is a type of cancer that affects the inner lining of the stomach. Although it is more common than other cancers, its incidence varies across the world in different places and societies. Smoking, eating a diet high in salt and low in fruits and vegetables increases the risk of stomach cancer.
Several studies have found that both smoking and drinking alcohol are associated with an increased risk of stomach cancer. Another risk factor for stomach cancer is family history, meaning that if someone had this cancer in their childhood or adolescence, then the affected individual is also at risk.
Stomach cancer is more common in older adults and is more common in men than in women.
Chronic gastritis, anemia due to vitamin B12, and certain types of inflammation in the stomach can also increase the risk of stomach cancer.
Actually, no type of cancer occurs suddenly in minutes, many of its symptoms appear from time to time, but it is also true that how can an individual recognize the symptoms? Because fever, stomach pain, vomiting, heartburn, etc. can be symptoms of not one but many diseases.
It is also possible that a fever has arisen and it is not a symptom of cancer or any other disease. Therefore, every patient should keep a close eye on the symptoms of the disease. In this case, the patient can avoid any major disease. There is no harm in getting a test done. One reason for the increase in diseases in our country is the lack of tests. People keep giving their loved ones common medicines, but due to the lack of proper diagnosis, i.e. tests or X-rays, etc., the disease becomes increasingly incurable.
Today we will tell you that like other diseases, stomach cancer (also known as gastric cancer) also knocks. Research tells us that this type of cancer takes root in the form of a mild tumor, from where it can spread to other parts of the body. It is not completely incurable. It can be cured in the early stages. This is why the number of patients with stomach cancer is decreasing in many countries.
Stomach cancer generally spreads in the central part of the stomach, however, one type of cancer arises in the upper part of the stomach (near the cardia). It is important to keep an eye on it. Because the number of patients with this type of cancer is increasing in our country. Its five symptoms appear from time to time, which are as follows: upset stomach, weight loss, stomach pain, feeling full even after eating little, vomiting and heartburn.
Stomach upset
It is a bit difficult to understand, because eating anything wrong can cause stomach upset. But it is one of the main symptoms of cancer. If you feel that your stomach has been upset for a long time, do not take it lightly and get tested immediately.
Weight loss
It is very difficult to stop eating.
Of course, those who want to lose weight stop eating, but if their appetite disappears or their desire for food decreases, they do not feel like eating anything, the person feels full in their stomach, and the weight is constantly decreasing, and the reason for the weight loss is also incomprehensible, then it would be better to get tested for cancer. If someone “repeatedly” feels that their stomach is full after putting a few bites in their mouth, they should consult a doctor.
By the way, there may be other reasons for loss of appetite. But caution is better than cure.
Stomach pain
This is a common complaint, many times the mind wanders just by going to the bathroom. When I am in the office, the joke is different. Do not take sudden and “repeated” pain in the stomach as a joke because this pain also occurs when there is swelling or accumulation of material in this part of the stomach that causes cancer.
Heartburn
Heartburn or acidity in the chest is very common in Pakistan. Our fried chicken foods are spreading gastrointestinal diseases, which have easy treatment. These foods can also cause indigestion. If despite treatment, this disease does not reduce, and the complaint of heartburn persists, then consult a doctor. Remember, if the treatment does not bring relief, get tested to know the early signs of another disease.
Vomiting
Nausea is a common ailment. If the reasons for it are not understood, and you have not taken any food that can cause nausea or vomiting, then consult a doctor even if you experience nausea once or twice a month. In case of a symptom of cancer, blood may also be mixed in the vomit.
